One 60-day cruise through the Australian Coast was terminated days after the fatal incident of an elderly lady who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a isolated tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been trekking on the remote island with shipmates from the vessel, but broke off from the group for a rest. The liner left without her and went back several hours later after the personnel discovered the lady was not present.

A large-scale rescue mission found her body the next day.

Investigative bodies are examining the event, in coordination with police and the medical examiner.
