The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
